About YouTube Monetization Checker

YouTube Monetization Checker (ytbench.com) reads a YouTube channel's public page and tells you what that public data can — and cannot — confirm about its monetization status.

What we actually check

For any channel you enter, we look at the same channel page YouTube shows to every visitor and check two things: whether a channel membership ("Join") button is present, and the channel's public subscriber count. A membership button is a hard signal — YouTube requires a channel to be in the YouTube Partner Program before memberships can be enabled, so if we find one, that channel is confirmed to be in the program.

We do not use the official YouTube Data API. That API does not expose monetization status at all, and Google's developer policy explicitly prohibits using API data to estimate or infer a channel's monetization or financial performance. Reading the public channel page is the only way to get the membership signal, and it is what every comparable tool in this space does.

What we do not know, and say so

Whether a channel is actually earning ad revenue is never public — YouTube does not disclose that to anyone, including us. We do not guess. When we cannot confirm something, the result says exactly that, instead of implying an answer we don't have.

We also do not calculate watch hours, review recent upload counts, or determine whether a channel has passed YouTube's manual review — none of that is publicly available, so it is not part of any result we show.

Data and caching

We don't require an account or login. Query results are cached for up to 24 hours so repeat lookups of the same channel don't need to re-fetch the same data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
